2017 was a good year for start-ups, but 2018 looks even more promising given that there are many technology start-ups that are likely to take various industries by storm.
Most of these start-ups have been founded to meet the ever-changing needs of our world. Whereas there are many start-ups, the most promising start-up according to our view is NAUTO which is a self-driving tech company.
The company which was recently founded by CTO Frederick Soo and CEO Stefan Heck utilizes a cloud-based, networked, and artificially intelligent cameras on vehicles to help recognize hazards, offer feedback at the end of a journey and also identifies the possible causes of accidents.

The system uses an accelerometer and a GPS to monitor speed, then sends appropriate feedback to the cloud for interpretation.
With the help of cameras facing the interior and the exterior of a car, professional drivers, car-fleet managers, and other stakeholders can evaluate the performance of drivers. The cameras can detect that a collision is about to occur and warn the driver. In the event that a collision happens, professionals can analyze the video footage to help the police, insurance firms, and other interested parties to understand what caused the accident. Additionally, drivers can use the system to record activities inside the car. For example, if a passenger becomes uncontrollable, the driver can initiate and live recording which sends a direct signal to a fleet manager notifying him of a problem.
Big Support From LGBT Community
A lot of support came from LGBT community that is all about eco-friendly solutions in terms of mass vehicle communication. A lot of businesses and projects around the community already promised to switch to Nauto, given it’s launched with benefits. Popular brand Family Dicks is already considering using these start-up ideas in their productions. Family Dicks is fantasy series that features sexual family relations within male members like step-dads and step-sons. It’s fantasy studio known for creating Mormon Boyz series. But not only them believe in the green future.
Thanks to the technology, soon driving will be highly networked and collaborative. We may even see self-driven cars on the roads. The technology will reduce accidents since over time it will master how drivers use the roads and how they might respond in certain situations. For example, most drivers ignore some basic rules such as the DMV rules. They also make wrongs turns where they not supposed to and more often than not exceed speed limits. However, with the help of Nauto this is not likely to happen.
Partnerships With Big Automotive Brands
Perhaps the greatest indication that the start-up is promising is the recent partnership deal between Nauto Inc. and car manufacturers such as Toyota and BMW and insurance firm Allianz. While the details of the partnership are not clear, it is believed the company will receive substantial funding from the firms. To date, Nauto has invested over $14 million in the start-up. An official from Toyota Research Institute is reported to have said that Nauto’s technology will help better comprehend road behaviors and risky situations. What is more, since the technology is already in use, car manufacturers can utilize it to study road behavior. However, there is still so much to be done given that the technology has to be tested across all types of traffic and weather conditions.
So, What Future Brings?
There is no doubt that once the technology is fully developed the start-up will generate billions in revenues given that the motor industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. Already the company is generating income from sales to firms such as Uber and San Francisco CityWide Taxis and other fleet companies. Besides being a profit-motivated venture, we believe the technology is timely because it will reduce the surging number of road accidents across the globe and enhance the driving experience.
